About the role
The Curriculum Portfolio Manager is the owner of the development and maintenance of Ironhack’s educational content and course formats. This role is at the core of our education team, responsible for managing the design, production, and deployment of all bootcamps and courses across B2B and B2C. While you’ll manage a pool of expert contributors, your strong technical background enables you to directly contribute to content validation, technical problem-solving, and the implementation of improvements.
You will oversee multiple projects in parallel, coordinating subject matter experts and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of educational content aligned with Ironhack’s standards and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Own the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Ironhack’s educational content and course structures.
- Lead the design, production, and deployment of new courses and updates, coordinating external subject matter experts (SMEs) across multiple projects.
- Conduct internal and external meetings with stakeholders to define and align next steps for new and ongoing educational initiatives.
- Identify, interview, and validate SMEs to build and maintain a strong, reliable expert talent pool.
- Manage SME onboarding and follow-up on deliverables, ensuring content quality, consistency, and timeliness.
- Provide hands-on support in technical tasks when needed, including
- Content Validation: Review and validate technical accuracy and clarity of materials.
- Script Management: Run, edit, and maintain scripts relevant to the curriculum.
- Version Control: Use Git and other tools to manage technical content and code changes.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve issues that impact content development or delivery.
- Collaborate with the B2C and B2B teams to scope and shape educational proposals, tailoring curricula to client or student needs.
- Ensure all educational materials are ready, complete, and accessible ahead of course launches.
- Support ad hoc educational requests where SME support is not required but technical knowledge is.
- Work on ad hoc requests to support the B2B and B2C teams when a Subject Matte Expert is not needed
- Track and report on the progress of projects and courses, proactively addressing risks and delays.
- Build strong relationships with SMEs and internal teams, maintaining smooth, aligned workflows across departments..
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or similar in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or a related field.
- Proven experience with Data Analysis and strong knowledge of Data Science.
- Proficiency with tools such as Python, Git, GitHub, Pandas, SQL, APIs, Web Scraping, Tableau, Machine Learning libraries (Scikit Learn), Large Language Models (LLMs), Cloud Computing platforms and Artificial Intelligence.
- Proven experience in managing educational programs or similar technical projects.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Attention to detail and quality assurance capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the education or training industry, particularly in technical or STEM fields.
- Knowledge of instructional design and educational technologies.
- Experience with technical project management or coordinating technical modifications.
